The International Forum “Electronicс Services- solutions and prospective” organized by the Ministry of Information Development of the Republic of Moldova was held on March 11-13, 2009 in Chisinau.

The main purpose of this Forum was to establish conditions for an active dialogue and reaching an agreement in matching the interests of international community, governmental institutions, business community, science and academia, and civil society concerning world leading practice on electronic services providing. The Forum was attended by the representatives of state structures, R&E, business sphere and public organizations from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Estonia, Belarus and other states, as well as by international experts, donors, consulates and embassies representatives of the states accredited in the Republic of Moldova. Dr. Veaceslav Sidorenco from RENAM made a presentation entitled Grid computing technologies for public services where the details of SEE-GRID-SCI project, it’s set of grid applications and their impact on National and Regional communities were presented and discussed. In particular, there was outlined significant potential and capabilities of grid computing technologies to support public administration and e-government services providing.
